About Govt. College Dharamsala
Government College Dharamshala is a state government degree college located in Dharamshala, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, and is one of the oldest institutions in the state, with the foundation stone of its main building laid in 1912. It was elevated to an intermediate college in 1926, upgraded to graduation level in 1947, and in 1977 became the first state college to introduce postgraduate programs. The college is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (and Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur for technical programs), and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce along with self-financed professional programs. It is accredited by NAAC with a Grade 'B++' (3rd cycle, 2022).
