Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Government College, Palampur is a government-run undergraduate and postgraduate college in Palampur, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, established via a Himachal Pradesh Education Department notification dated 7 April 1995 (originally as Government College Palampur). It was subsequently renamed in honour of Captain Vikram Batra, PVC, the Param Vir Chakra recipient and hero of the 1999 Kargil War. The college is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and is recognised by the UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. It offers programs in Arts, Science and Commerce along with professional and postgraduate courses.
